How I Work With Families

Every family arrives with a story.

A question that won’t quite settle.
A concern that feels harder to name than it should.
A child who is trying.

I partner with families to support literacy development in ways that are informed, compassionate, and grounded in research. Each engagement is thoughtfully tailored, not just to a child’s learning profile, but to the rhythms and realities of your family.

We begin with clarity.

Individualized Literacy Planning

When families are ready for a plan, we build one carefully.

We identify strengths.
We name areas for growth.
We outline practical next steps aligned with how children learn to read.

The goal is not urgency.
It is alignment while sprinkling in the joy all along the way!

Literacy Intervention & Tutoring

For families seeking targeted support, I design instruction based on assessment data and grounded in evidence-based practices.

Sessions are structured and explicit, paced in a way that protects both skill-building and confidence.

Progress will feel steady and personal to the young reader.

Parent Education & Coaching

Sometimes the most powerful shift happens when caregivers feel equipped.

These sessions focus on demystifying reading development, building confidence, and offering realistic strategies that fit into daily life, not add to it.

Ways We Can Work Together

• One-time consultations
• Short-term support during key developmental transitions
• Ongoing partnership, coaching and tutoring

Each engagement is designed to be respectful, responsive, and aligned with your family’s goals.

Tutoring sessions are $100–175 per hour. Consulting support is $150–250 per hour. Package options are available. Founding rates start at the lower end and will increase intentionally as the practice grows. To get started, email megan@mmcliteracycollective.com or book a free 20-minute discovery call.
